Though there was a question arised " Why we migrants of Saurashtra living in Tamil Nadu, does not aware of our own Writing system. and why not we brought lipi / akshar / eluthu / alphabets / letters of sourashtra?
For many reason we does not aware our Sourashtra-Writing system. One is On those days, before one thousands years we migrated form Saurashtra, literacy percentage is very low, and a comman man does not having necessary knowledge of writing his mother tongue. Second reason, The writing knowledge is necessary only for Kings, who Assisting King and Rulers who assisting to the King. In History, The Nagar Brahmans of Saurashtra developed the Devanagari letters and they used these alphabets to write their language.

In the mean time, Tamil Nadu sourashtra community, especially ONLY from Madurai, one person developed a own script, and it was followed for time sack. But as per tradition and cultural linage, Devanagari script is the most suitable one.

Before one hundred and ten years ago, Sourashtra Madhya Saba passed a resolution, that
" Devanagari lipi is the alphabet of sourashtra and our community children will thought education with this devanagari script. " However no efforts made to impliment the resolution. After a long time, finally Sourashtra community proclaimed and adopted Devanagari is their Writing system with the Guidance of Central Institute of Indian Language, Mysore and Linguistic Minority Commission officials.
